In today's Washington Post was what is perhaps my favorite infographic I've ever seen. It plots, as a timeline, GDP growth, unemployment, and who was president from Hoover forward. There's an enormous amount of information in it, but you can read it like a book; indeed, I spent about an hour today doing so. Unfortunately, WaPo doesn't seem to have posted the graphic online; the only place I could find it requires registration (it looks like they require money, but if you register you can see a few articles for free).Labels: design, tufte, visualization
